The Adlah Chisti for District 11 is based in San Francisco. District 11 is the southside of San Francisco near Daly City and includes neighborhoods Oceanview, Merced Heights, Ingleside, Cayuga, Crocker Amazon, Southern Hills, Outer Mission, Excelsior, New Mission Terraces. The campaign really appreciates and will help us get to victory. Here is a bit of the descriptions of what the campaign is looking for and how we need volunteers! We also need help with someone being at the office and covering a shift of 2 hours. Please email [email protected] for inquiries!
Volunteers
Engage voters, door-knocking, and phone banking in meaningful conversations throughout our community. It’s incredibly rewarding to hear the concerns, hopes, and ideas of residents for a better city.
- Canvass or precinct captain. This is the best way to victory. And its always a pleasant walk around a neighborhood and talking with neighbors!
- Phonebank. This is just as important to reach seniors in particular. Many of them still have landlines!
- Host an event. I am still fundraising, while I have met matching public finance funds, I have to keep fundraising to stay competitive and events really help in getting the word out about the campaign.
- Sign up to do visibility with me! We can go to an area with a lot of foot traffic and talk with people from the community. Coffee is on me!
- Literature Drop. Come by our office and pick up a list and an area to walk and drop off literature at peoples doorsteps. We are located on 4740 Mission Street cross of Onondaga.
Internship Program is designed to empower the next generation of leaders. Our interns are gaining valuable experience in grassroots organizing, community engagement, and campaign strategy. Their energy and passion are vital to our campaign's success.
Here at the campaign for Adlah Chisti for Supervisor 2024, we are a first and foremost a group of educators who want to engage students, grad and undergrad, in the election process through a first hand experience in a current, local campaign for SF Supervisor, District 11. They will be participating in the electoral process of one of the most historic elections in US history. The students will witness and be part of the behind-the-scenes actions of a local campaign where their knowledge of local politics will expand exponentially as well as their political network.
We will place your students in a setting with responsibilities to increase their strengths or have the opportunity to gain new skills, such as:
- Writing campaign briefs;
- Composing fundraising letters;
- Attending and presenting the candidates platform at meetings;
- Attending meetings and taking notes;
- Co-coordinating events with other interns and with other organizations;
- Being a part of or lead for outreach and visibility;
- Meeting the public in person or by phone and answering their inquiries;
- General staffing of the campaign office;
- Additional activities.
Students will benefit from the supervision of seasoned political activists, many who have served the student populations of CCSF, SFSU, and USF as faculty, counselors and staff. We have mentored many students who are now politically savvy and active leaders in SF politics. Their networks will grow and we will be of assistance to them no matter where they are in their educational path. We are activists as well as educators.
